Desirée is a New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in California. Desirée received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Economics and Public Policy from The George Washington University. She is currently attending New York University working towards obtaining a Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Desirée is a dynamic, insight-oriented therapist. She approaches her clients with unconditional positive regard and works to support them in addressing their challenges, so they can forge forward in their lives. Desirée works comprehensively, with thoughtful emphasis on the depths and intricacies of her clients' experiences. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to guide couples in strengthening their relationships.

Desirée utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy to help clients better understand the dynamics in their relationships and elicit positive growth as partners. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a community clinic setting. Desirée has helped individuals manage anxiety, depression, self-confidence issues, life transitions, and excessive anger.

Rates and Insurance:

Sessions are 45 minutes and are held in office or remotely via secure telehealth video software. Desirée’s fee is $200/session.

Desirée is an out of network provider, which means if you have out of network benefits you can submit the receipts from your sessions for partial reimbursement. If you’re not familiar with your insurance benefits, this is something we can look into for you. Send an email to our assistant, Kate Bladon, with a photo of the front and back of your insurance card and date of birth to get the information.

If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), this is a great opportunity to utilize them. Both are acceptable for session payments
