Do I have to come with my partner?
Yes, the Bringing Baby Home Program is designed to strengthen the relationship between two parents in a committed relationship.
Is this couples therapy?
No, the Bringing Baby Home Program is an educational workshop.
Is this a birthing class or Lamaze?
No, the Bringing Baby Home Program does not prepare couples for the experience of childbirth. It focuses on the couple's relationship, preparing for the transition to parenthood, and understanding baby's needs.
What if I'm not able to attend Day 2?
We realize life is hectic and things can come up. If you are unable to attend Day 2, we invite you to attend Day 2 at a future workshop we offer at no additional charge.
How does payment work?
We offer two payment options: pay in full after registration or select our payment plan. The payment plan allows you to make one payment after registration and the second payment one week before the workshop. After registering, you will receive an invoice via email that you can pay online using a credit or debit card.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes! Babies in arms are welcome. We'd love to invite toddlers and older children as well, but are currently unable to.
Who are Drs. John and Julie Gottman?
Drs. John and Julie Gottman are relationship experts, co-founders of and researchers at The Gottman Institute in Seattle, Washington. John Gottman has conducted 40 years of research with couples and has been named one of the Top 10 Most Influential Therapists of the past quarter-century by the Psychotherapy Networker. His wife, Julie Gottman, is a highly regarded clinical psychologist and couples therapist She serves as President of The Gottman Institute and co-designed the national clinical training program in Gottman Couples Therapy.
